By downloading, installing, or using Rishi ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
Rishi is a mobile application that provides daily quotes and wisdom from ancient scriptures, primarily the Bhagavad Gita. The App includes features for reading, favoriting, sharing quotes, and tracking your spiritual reading journey.
User Conduct
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without permission
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the App or its content
- Use automated systems to access or scrape content from the App
- Circumvent any security features of the App
Intellectual Property
Scripture Translations
The translations of the Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures used in this App are in the public domain. You may freely share individual quotes for personal, non-commercial use.
App Content
The App's design, user interface, original interpretations, and software are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These remain the property of Rishi.
In-App Purchases
Rishi offers an optional in-app purchase ("Buy me a Chai") to support development. This is a voluntary contribution and does not unlock additional features.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The spiritual and philosophical content is provided for educational and inspirational purposes only and should not be considered professional advice.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RISHI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
